Phlock weekly competition update

COLOUR

You continue to inspire us with your brilliant and inspiring images and the past week’s challenge of Colour brought us so much joy.

Each artist used colour in such a unique and interesting way – from rich tones to rainbow brights, jewel like hues and little pops of colour which tell the stories so cleverly.

Cindy Cavanagh was the winner of our colour challenge – an image which uses colour and blur so beautifully and makes the image feel like a watercolour painting.

I was joined by two incredible artists to review this week’s entries and both of them approach colour so well – Diana Hagues will teach free-lensing at Phlock Live and Bex will lead a talk on colour and details – Bex is the queen of colour!

This week’s theme is ‘All is Calm’ and we are so enjoying the juxtaposition in going from scroll-stopping colour to images which bring us a sense of peace and draw us in in a different way.

Congratulations, Cindy, and to everyone whose images were highly commended. It was incredibly difficult to choose because the entries were staggeringly good.

Love,
